A recent SMU graduate from Plano, Texas, DeAngelo will be starting as an Assistant Residential Community Director for UDH in the Fall. DeAngelo brings four years of involvement in the office of Residence Life though his experience as a commons council president, general member of the assembly and as an RA. As an undergrad, DeAngelo also helped establish a start-up aimed to help residents of South and West Dallas create a network of sustainable food production. This passion for social advocacy inspired his pursuit of his M.S in Business Analytics in order to highlight the humanity behind the statistics. As an Assistant Residential Community Director, he looks forward to exploring the overlap between social advocacy and student growth throughout the year. Outside of the workplace, DeAngelo enjoys curating new music playlists, playing tennis and looking for new ways to practice mindfulness.
